Climedo Software Default Roles

Modified on Fri, 25 Apr at 2:11 PM

Learn more about the Climedo user roles which are predefined.

In Step 2 ("Access") of your study or survey, you can edit the user roles. There are 8 predefined roles when creating a study. This article will give you an overview of all of the roles and their respective rights within Climedo. You can edit or delete these default roles to adjust the access for your project.

Furthermore, feel free to add new, customized user roles to your study or survey. If you need more information on how to configure individual roles, check out these two articles: For a study and for a survey.

In the first column, you will find all configured user roles. Simply click on the name of one of the roles and a new window will pop up showing the corresponding rights to this specific role.

You can also get a quick comparison between the user roles by doing the following:

Expand the desired tabs (e.g. "scheduled events") and see the preconfigured rights for all user roles. You can also edit them quickly by ticking the checkboxes.

Predefined user roles and rights:

If a checkbox is greyed out, you cannot select it yet. Hover over the  symbol to see more information. Some rights can only be selected if other access rights are given first.

Example: To make "updating" possible, you need to enable "reading" first.

Good to know

Please keep in mind that you cannot edit the roles "All access" and "No access". Furthermore, our Support user is automatically added to all studies for technical support with the role "Product Support". If desired, the user's rights can be restricted to a few basic settings.

1) All Access

2) Data Entry

3) Data Manager

4) Investigator

5) Monitor

6) No Access

7) Product Support

8) Sponsor
