The validations below can be combined with AND and OR operators. A nesting of conditions is also possible, e.g. (condition 1 AND condition 2) OR condition 3.

⭐ You can apply all of the validations and automated queries above to tables and repeating fields, and compare table columns with regular fields outside the table (e.g. check that a treatment start date in a table is after the ICF date). Comparing rows: When a condition compares two columns of the same table, use Row comparison to choose Same row, Previous row or First row (e.g. a start date must be after the previous or first row's end date). On tables with user-added rows, "previous" and "first" follow the table's sort order (see table sorting details here). On tables with pre-defined rows, they follow the configured row order. Specific rows: On tables with pre-defined rows (including lab-data tables), use Row(s) to apply a validation to selected rows only. |
